Microsoft 365

Is your Microsoft 365 as secure as you think?

Microsoft 365 holds your email, files and identities, yet most tenants run close to default settings. We move you in safely, harden your tenant against the CIS benchmark and CISA's SCuBA baselines, and keep it compliant with continuous monitoring.

More than a help desk

Plenty of providers keep the lights on. We bring technology leadership.

Secure Cloud is built on three pillars: advanced technology, practical innovation and clear leadership. We work alongside your executives to understand what is critical to your organization and what keeps you up at night, then we fix it.

About our vCIO service

Executive-level insight

Our vCIO engagement starts with a full audit of your environment, risks and spend, and ends with a roadmap you can act on.

Security-first engineering

Every build follows Zero Trust from day one: phishing-resistant MFA, Conditional Access, least privilege and encrypted devices as standard.

Spend that makes sense

We right-size licenses and subscriptions, retire what you don't need and invest where it reduces real risk.

Regular strategic reviews

Quarterly business reviews with leadership to track security posture, projects and budget against your goals.

How we work

A clear path from where you are to where you need to be.

Start with a review
  1. Understand

We learn how your organization works, what is critical to it and where the pressure points are.

  2. Assess

We profile your network, cloud, identities and devices against NIST CSF 2.0 and the CISA Zero Trust Maturity Model.

  3. Secure & optimize

We close the gaps, harden systems, automate the routine and switch on 24/7 monitoring.

  4. Manage & evolve

Proactive support, patching and reporting, plus a roadmap that raises your maturity over time.

Cyber security

Built on Zero Trust and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

NIST CSF 2.0 is the common language US boards, regulators and insurers use for cyber risk. We implement, evidence and maintain controls across all six functions, and architect access on Zero Trust principles from NIST SP 800-207, so no user, device or network is trusted by default.

  • Managed detection & response, 24/7/365
  • Zero Trust access with Entra ID & Conditional Access
  • Penetration testing & vulnerability management
  • Incident response aligned to NIST SP 800-61

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Something else on your mind? Email us and talk to an engineer, not a salesperson.

What is the difference between managed IT and break-fix support?

Break-fix means you pay when something goes wrong, so your provider earns more when things break. With managed IT you pay a predictable monthly fee and we are paid to prevent problems through monitoring, patching and security, not to fix them after the fact.

Can you work alongside our internal IT person or team?

Yes. We often provide co-managed IT, giving your in-house team our security tooling, 24/7 monitoring and specialist engineers while they keep ownership of day-to-day support.

What does Zero Trust actually mean for us?

Zero Trust replaces "inside the network means trusted" with a check on every request. Before anyone reaches email, files or apps, we confirm who they are with strong MFA, check that their device is managed and healthy, and grant only the access their role needs. If an account or laptop is compromised, the damage stays contained.

Do we have to comply with NIST?

The NIST Cybersecurity Framework is voluntary for most private organizations, but it has become the common reference for boards, cyber insurers and larger customers. Defense contractors handling Controlled Unclassified Information must meet NIST SP 800-171, which CMMC builds on, and NYDFS-regulated firms must meet Part 500. We assess where you stand and give you a realistic plan to lift your maturity.

Is our Microsoft 365 really secure out of the box?

Not fully. Many important protections, such as blocking legacy sign-ins, Conditional Access, audit alerting and DMARC enforcement, need to be configured. Our Microsoft 365 security review shows exactly where your tenant stands against the CIS and CISA SCuBA baselines.

Where is our Microsoft 365 data stored?

Microsoft 365 tenants set up in the United States store core customer data, including Exchange mailboxes, SharePoint and OneDrive files, in Microsoft's US datacenters.

How does onboarding work?

We start with an audit of your environment, document everything, deploy our monitoring and security tools, and bring your systems up to our Zero Trust baseline. You get a clear report on what we found and what we changed.

Security review

Let's talk about your IT and security.

Our security review assesses your environment against NIST CSF 2.0 and Zero Trust best practice, ranks the biggest risks and gives you a practical, costed plan to fix them, in plain English.
